Healthy Nails + Nail Care

  • At Powder Beauty Co., we believe beauty should never come at the expense of your health. Healthy beauty is at the heart of everything we do.

    We take a thoughtful approach to the products we use, the techniques we choose, and the way each service supports the health and integrity of your natural nails. We prioritize high-quality, non-toxic, organic products whenever possible, with care for both performance and the overall experience.

    Our commitment to wellness extends to the salon itself. We sterilize metal implements in a surgical-grade autoclave, use single-use files and buffers, sanitize stations between guests, and use hospital-grade air purifiers to help maintain a cleaner, more comfortable environment.

    Most importantly, we take our time. Our goal is to create beautiful results while giving you a calm, personalized experience where you feel genuinely cared for.

  • Gel manicures do not have to mean damaged or weakened nails when they’re applied, maintained, and removed with care.

    Our technicians prioritize proper preparation, thoughtful application, and gentle removal rather than aggressive filing or techniques that unnecessarily compromise the natural nail. We also consider the current condition of your nails and can recommend the service that best supports them.

    Beautiful, long-lasting nails should not require sacrificing the health of your natural nails.

  • We believe removal is just as important as application.

    Whenever possible, we use soaking and controlled removal techniques that allow product to release gently rather than aggressively scraping, peeling, or over-filing the natural nail.

    Taking a little more time during removal helps us protect the strength and integrity of the nails underneath. Because to us, luxury is in the details—and gentle removal is one of those details.

  • Yes. We carefully select high-quality products that align with our healthier approach to beauty.

    We consider ingredients, performance, quality, and how each product supports our overall philosophy of thoughtful natural nail care.

  • You don’t have to know exactly what your nails need before you arrive.

    Our technicians can assess the condition of your natural nails, talk through your lifestyle and goals, and recommend an appropriate service. If the service you originally planned to book isn’t the best fit for your nails that day, we’ll help you choose another option.

    Healthy nails can take time, and our goal is to help you create a routine that supports them long-term rather than simply covering up the problem.

  • Absolutely. Powder does not offer acrylic services, and we’re happy to help guests transition toward services that better align with our natural nail philosophy.

    We’ll consider the current condition of your nails and recommend an approach based on their strength, sensitivity, and your desired look. If your nails have been significantly weakened by previous services, they may simply need some time and consistent care.

    You can still enjoy polished, beautiful nails while taking a gentler approach to the natural nails underneath.

Choosing Your Nail Service

  • Each service offers something a little different:

    Dazzle Dry is a fast-drying polish system for natural nails that can be fully dry in about 5 minutes. Its vegan, non-toxic formula makes it a great option for guests who want traditional polish with a faster dry time. LEARN MORE ABOUT DAZZLE DRY →

    Gel Manicure is ideal for clients with strong, healthy natural nails who want longer-lasting color and shine with less chipping than traditional polish.

    Hard Gel adds additional strength and structure to the natural nail. It's a great option for guests who need extra support, durability, or protection for weak or flexible nails as they grow naturally.

    Gel-X uses lightweight, full-coverage gel extensions to add instant length and create a beautifully shaped, natural-looking finish.

    Nail Art can be added to eligible services for a more customized look.

  • That depends on the condition of your nails and what you’d like to achieve.

    Rather than recommending one service for everyone, we look at your natural nails and help determine which option offers the right amount of support while keeping their health in mind.

  • Book the service that feels closest to what you’re looking for, and we can help fine-tune the plan when you arrive.

    If you’re making a larger change, transitioning from another nail system, or simply feel unsure, you’re also welcome to reach out before your appointment.

  • In many cases, yes. Your technician can assess your natural nails and help determine the best option based on their current condition, your desired length, and how much maintenance you prefer.

Visiting Powder

  • We’re located inside ROW DTLA in Los Angeles at 777 S Alameda St. Unit 146, just outside Downtown LA in the Arts District.

  • Yes. ROW DTLA offers parking, and Powder guests receive up to two hours of complimentary parking with validation.

    If your visit extends beyond two hours, we can help with validation when you check out.

  • After parking, make your way toward Market Row and the main courtyard. Powder is located near Scent Bar and Gladys Tamez Millinery Hat Store

    Keep an eye out for our purple Powder Beauty Co. sign.

  • Please call us as soon as possible at (323) 546-5540 if you’re running late.

    Depending on your arrival time, we may need to adjust or reschedule your service so we can stay on time for the guests scheduled after you. Full details are available on our Policies page.

  • Because we reserve dedicated time for every guest, appointments canceled without enough notice may be subject to a cancellation fee.

  • Appointments are strongly recommended so we can reserve the right amount of time for your service. Walk-ins may be accommodated when availability allows.

  • Powder and ROW DTLA are pet-friendly, and we’re always happy to welcome well-behaved pets.

    Because Powder is an intimate salon and we want every guest to be able to relax, we recommend checking with us before bringing additional guests or children who do not have an appointment.

  • Yes. No two sets of nails or lifestyles are exactly the same.

    We consider your natural nails, desired look, maintenance preferences, and overall goals when recommending services and products.

  • Absolutely. Inspiration photos are a great way to show us the colors, shapes, nail art, or overall feel you’re drawn to.

    We’ll use them as a starting point and help adapt the look to your nails and appointment.

  • Appointment times vary depending on your service, removal needs, nail art, additional services, and other add-ons.

    When booking through Fresha, you’ll see the time reserved for your specific appointment. Be sure to include any removals, nail art, or additional services when booking so we can reserve enough time for everything you’d like done.

  • Our pricing reflects the time, products, skill, sanitation standards, and level of individualized care that go into each appointment.

    We don’t believe in rushing guests in and out of the chair. From careful preparation and removal to high-quality products and thoughtful techniques, the goal is to create an experience and result that feels worth coming back for.
